SoSIM is a popular discount LTE network based in Hong Kong however a recent update to the Android operating system has caused incoming calls to stop working on some Android devices, notably the Google Pixel which is always on the latest version of Android.
Since the Pixel is not officially sold in Hong Kong, SoSIM do not support Voice over LTE (VoLTE) on Pixel devices which means that the network is unable to find your phone if it has VoLTE activated.
The workaround is simple: open the “Settings” app and browse to “Network and Internet” -> “SIMs” and locate your SoSIM (it will be displayed as either SoSIM or 3 Hong Kong). Once you are in your SIM card settings locate the VoLTE option and ensure that it’s in the off position. You can then ask a friend to call you and see if this has restored your service.
